Kuwait just celebrated their National Day and Liberation Day holidays at the end of February. National Day celebrates the day they gained their independence and Liberation Day is the day the good ole USA and our allies kept them from becoming Iraq. These 2 days, the 25th and 26th of February, are celebrated with lots of gusto here. People decorate their homes with flags and lights and pictures of Kuwait's leaders.
This year we heard about an area with a ton of lights that were on display and we thought we would go check them out.
The lights were sponsored by Kuwait Oil Company.
And all of the lights were on their grounds. It is almost like being on an Air Force base, since it is it's own little community with everything you need on the grounds. The lights were truly amazing.
This year is Kuwait Oil Company's 75th anniversary so we were told there were more lights this year than in years past.
Of course they had the obligatory picture of the Emir.
And just as a side note, this is what happens when you mistakenly set your camera to ISO and then shoot out of a moving vehicle.
Just thought you should all know that.
