Disney Part 6 - The Storm

So remember how I told you we almost had a perfect day?? Well, here is the rest of the story:

After that fun block party dancing with all the Toy Story characters we went to lunch at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends. We got to meet Pooh,

It was a great meal, probably the best food we had while we were there.

Then we went back to the hotel for naps, and returned to the Magic Kingdom later in the afternoon. After we rode a few more rides it started to look like rain and since it was getting close to dinner time we decided to just head back to the hotel for dinner. Good plan right?? Yes, it was till Mommy got the bright idea to take the boat back to the hotel since "we weren't in a hurry this time". You all know where this is going now.

This was not just a nice rain shower, this was a full on storm with lightning and thunder that shook your chest. And of course torrential rains!

It was a long ride, but the worst part was that the boat dropped us off a L-O-N-G way from any shelter! We ran full speed (with kids in the stroller) for at least 2 minutes to get to a building. And it had been raining quite a while already so the sidewalks were covered with a couple inches of standing water. Not good when you are wearing your tennis shoes. Needless to say we were completely soaked. Here are the after shots:

Not a perfect day, but sure makes for some good memories!
